For months we’ve been teetering on the edge of our seats, waiting for the day we could share more brews from Pittsburgh’s Dancing Gnome. 

Today, we get to share FOUR — an entire flight of deliciousness! Plus, you get two of each brew. How glorious is that!? 

You’ve probably heard of this crew because USA Today named them one of the Top 3 New Breweries in the Country. And, because Hop Culture called them a “hidden gem.” 

But, unless you’ve been to Pittsburgh in the last few years, or been quick enough on Tavour, you’ve almost certainly never tried a taste from these brewers. Their beer can only be found in a handful of local bars, and directly from the taproom. That’s it.

So, get your flight glasses ready, and notify your nearest and dearest craft-sippin’ buddies about this painfully finite 40-case opportunity. Here’s what we’ve got on deck:

Lustra Pale Ale - Rated 4.05 - 5.8% ABV - x 2 cans 

Pro-tip: anytime you’re crackin’ into a flight, always start with the lightest brew-style. And, in today’s pack of ultra-juicy hopbombs, we’d advise to start with a little Lustra! 

Burly additions of Citra and Amarillo Hops pack all the flavor of an IPA, but with a light, smooth, crushable body. It’s delightfully tropical, with flavors of mango and pineapple mingling with tangy tangerine and a touch of apricot. And, with the mellow ABV, you can bask in this hoppy goodness all day long!

Mosaic Jam IPA - Rated 4.15 - 6.8% ABV - x 2 cans

Next, we’d recommend grabbing another cold flight glass from the fridge! It’s time to do some Mosaic Jam-min.’ 

A staple of the brewery’s beloved Jam IPA series, they cranked up this Hazy with 5.5 lbs per barrel of Mosaic in the dry-hop. That’s on top of already hefty additions of Magnum, Mosaic, and Columbus Hops in the boil.

Each sip is like inner-tubing down a river of peach purée with pineapples and tangerines bobbing around beside you. The finish is dry and resinous with notes of pine, like a fresh breath of cool forest air. 

Spy Dolphin DIPA - Rated 4.17 - 8.5% ABV - x 2 cans 

The Spy Dolphin’s creeping up behind you! And, it’s loaded up with heaps of Idaho 7, Simcoe, and Citra Hops. Each sip packs a punch of pineapple, plump melon, pear, and lime zest. A hint of pine sap brings up the rear, as the pillow-soft mouthfeel begs another sip. 

Just be careful… The Spy Dolphin’s ABV might just sneak up on you quicker than you realize. We’ve still got one more DIPA to go! 

Dakota Line DIPA - Rated 4.26 - 9% ABV - x 2 cans

The brewers describe this finale of a hopbomb as a “hop assault” of Galaxy, Ekuanot, Citra, and Columbus. 

Swells of dank pineapple and mango drop-kick the taste buds into flavorful oblivion. On the finish, bold zings of pine kickbox with bursts of lush passionfruit and ripe mango. The dangerously discreet ABV lingers in the shadows, until… WHAM, you’ve been knocked on your brew-lovin’ behind. All I’m saying is… if this is what a “hop assault” looks like, sign us up!
