To craft this crisp, easy drinker, Urban Chestnut brewed a traditional German-style Pilsner and hopped it with Hallertau and Strisselspalt Hops for a pronounced herb and spice notes.

spicy herbal hop with some citrus notes and a decent bready biscuity backbone. plenty bitter for a Pilsner. mouthfeel is not as “crisp” as I’d like, a little soft. very nice!

This pilsner are almost closes the gap between a pilsner and an IPA. Very hoppy for pilsner but feels out of place with the base taste of pilsner instead of a base taste of an IPA.

It’s heavy on the malt, but the finish is sweet and bready. I would consider it a light beer, but if you’re not planning on drinking more than one, it’s got potential.
