If you were into punk rock in the early 2000s, like Abnormal’s head brewer Jason Martin, you’ve probably already guessed that this brew was inspired by a cult-popular Gogol Bordello song. And I know I’d drive from another state just to rock out with Start Drinking Purple, because it’s sure to bring the house down! 

The craft crew composed this Imperial Berliner Weisse with a Kettle Sour base, infusing it with passion fruit and maqui berries — a sweet-tart South American superfood that tastes like an earthier mixture of blackberry and cherry.
