A Note on This Beer
I don’t always drink Lagers. But when I do, I reach for the most interesting one I can find.
And right now, I’m reaching for Steward of Elements.
The award-winning* brewers at Elder Pine craft this unique, limited-release Pale Lagerbier using spelt malts — one of the most ancient brewing grains in use since the time of the Sumerians.
Then, they transport Steward of Elements to 2020 by dry-hopping it with a brand-new hop variety known as Experimental Hop #07270.
The spelt malt lends a smooth backbone and nutty flavors with a pinch of tangy nuance, setting the stage for Experimental Hop #07270. The hops then offer an intriguing, potent mix of dank, resinous flavors with a noticeably spicy profile, rounded off by a hint of tangerines.
For Untappd fans like @Ricki who got a taste, it’s a case where “Breweries like Elder Pine are rewarding me for branching away from my typical beer styles!”
‘Cause Steward of Elements is a thirst-quenching, uniquely hopped brew that’s a bold new look for Lagers.
So do yourself a favor and grab a stash — with this crisp crusher, every sip is more interesting than the last.
