A Note on This Beer
The Beer:
It all starts with two of the Alaskan craft masters’ proprietary strains of Brettanomyces and two Saison yeasts, which imbue the brew with sophisticated notes of barnyard funk. Then they let it ferment and age in Missouri oak barrels so it could soak up all the delicate woodspice nuances.
Look forward to gentle hints of hay and subtle twinges of stone fruit rippling throughout every bright sip. We expect the oaky undertones imparted from the barrel to accentuate the elegant hints of spice and rich herbaceousness in this naturally carbonated sipper.
A refined brew like this works great poured into a glass and enjoyed with a fancy dinner, but it is equally delicious quaffed straight from the bottle while you watch the game with your family. And since it’s coming from the legends at Anchorage, you know it’s gonna be a winner!
The Brewery:
Hands down, Anchorage Brewing is one of the most sought-after breweries when it comes to boozy Dark Beers. Outside of Alaska, their brews are notoriously hard to find and fans clamor to get their hands on bottles of the most coveted sippers, like Deal with the Devil, Time Waits for No One, and Endless Ending. Anchorage’s impressive list of collabs — with top craft breweries like Tired Hands, Mikkeller, Hill Farmstead, and Monkish — is enough to make any in-the-know craft lover go weak in the knees.
