A Note on This Beer
This bundle will ship IMMEDIATELY and FREE, separate from all beers in your current open crate. It’s our hope that shutdowns across the nation won't affect deliveries.
Tavour always had a clear mission: support independent craft breweries and build a community of like-minded beer lovers. And we’ve never wavered from that.
Now, in this unpredictable and difficult time, that mission is more important than ever. That’s why, today, we put together this box of beers to showcase just a few of the talented breweries we partner with.
The goal? To stand together and support these indie businesses in a time of crises, when even tomorrow is unknown. And with today’s curated selection, we can all come together while enjoying a whole lineup of highly-rated Dark Beers from some of our favorite breweries across the country.
*All purchases will benefit the breweries featured in this box. In addition, we are donating a portion of the proceeds to the Virginia Craft Brewers Guild to help their fight for legislation that makes it easy for independent breweries to serve their customers, without the burdens of unfair rules that hinder their growth.
Here’s what you get:
903 Brewers - Sherman, TX - Coconut Macaroon Imperial Stout - 10.8% ABV - 2x12oz cans
Just like real chocolate-drizzled coconut macaroon cookies, this 10.8% ABV after-dinner Stout is positively layered in rich, creamy-sweet flavor. You’ll taste toasted coconut and dark mocha right up front, before subtler notes of almond, vanilla, and a fluffy, cake-like mouthfeel wash in.
I’m not the only one swooning for this brand spankin’ new sipper. Local fans who’ve tried Coconut Macaroon have already given it an impressive 4.21 rating on Untappd!
- “Yes, indeed. Coconut and sweet almonds. Dessert!” @Chad H.
- “Impressive. Delicious, light coconut taste with a great smooth finish.” @Matt L.
- “Pretty damn delicious!” @Jon H.
Thankfully, Eater’s #1 Essential Dallas Brewery might as well be called the “#1 nicest brewery,” because they agreed to set aside a supply of this dark, desserty sipper just for Tavour!

Hubbard's Cave - Niles, IL - French Toast Imperial Stout - 12% ABV - 2x16oz cans
One of my all-time favorite breakfast foods is, and always has been, a plate of sweet and cinnamon-y French Toast.
Which is why I just HAD to grab the freshest batch of Hubbard’s Cave’s decadent French Toast Imperial Stout! Thank the Dark Beer gods I did, too — the last 4 releases all clock an astronomical 4.20+ on Untappd!
The thick waves of sticky maple syrup in this batch welcome you as soon as you crack open the can. Rich cinnamon and hazelnut notes pour across the palate amid strong flavors of warm maple syrup. A vanilla latte-like roastiness hangs in the back, and the lactose brings in a creamy mouthfeel to mask the boozy 12% ABV.
*French Toast 2020-1 is too new for ratings!
White Elm Brewing - Lincoln, NE - Double Stuffed Imperial Stout - 8% ABV - 2x16oz cans
The reason today’s Double Stuffed Oreo-inspired brew is so dark and decadent is that the brewers at White Elm use black onyx cocoa powder.
It’s a high-end, Dutch-processed cocoa powder that’s alkalized to extremes, resulting in a darker, more complex, bittersweet flavor than the ordinary, light and fruity cocoa powder.
For Pastry Stout fans who want the whole bag of Oreos, this brew is double-stuffed with that thicker-than-a-Snicker white frosting. White Elm adds real vanilla, creamy lactose, and graham cracker crumbles to deliver that nostalgic flavor you remember from your cookie-dunking days.
*Rated 4.28 on Tavour; 4.19 on Untappd
River North Brewery - Denver, CO - Vanilla Avarice Imperial Stout - 9.5% ABV - 1x375ml bottle
For craft fans with a lust for luxuriously rich and boozy Dessert Beers, we bring you Vanilla Avarice.
Every potent sip is like a spoonful of melty gelato doused in bold Italian espresso!
The boozy beer specialists at River North brew this Russian Imperial Stout with a Belgian-style yeast and 100% whole bourbon vanilla beans — a type of rich vanilla named after Reunion Island (formerly ‘Bourbon island’) in the Indian Ocean.
From this combination, it boasts a legion of luscious vanilla sweetness, complemented by a tantalizingly dry and roasty base.
If you’ve never heard of River North, that’s because their beers hardly ever leave Colorado. But they’re a must-try for Dark Beer lovers — they nabbed First Place in Paste Magazine’s ‘Top Imperial Stouts in the Nation’ Blind Tasting!

Adroit Theory Brewing - Purcellville, VA - NecroGenesis Imperial Stout - 11.5% ABV - 1x22oz bottle
Adroit Theory calls today’s 11.5% ABV NecroGenesis Imperial Milk Stout (Ghost 839) “both the weirdest yet most successful beer we have ever brewed.”
But before we go into just how weird it is, there’s one thing we have to make clear: this stuff is crazy delicious! This latest batch already has a massive 4.33 on Untappd! Fans are calling it “freakin’ delicious” and “one of the best I’ve ever had,” and praising its “glorious flavors.”
But that's not the weird part. Ready for the weird part? They brewed this Stout with rarely-seen Candy Cap mushrooms!
Don’t freak out — fine dining restaurants use these mushrooms to add caramel-like nuance to their culinary dishes. Here, Adroit uses them to give the brew deeper, more complex levels of flavor. Then, they add lactose, brown sugar, maple syrup, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves!
Each silky-smooth sip tantalizes every inch of your palate. It's like an artisanal dark chocolate bar, drizzled in butterscotch and wrapped in cozy spices, backed with just a hint of sweetened earthiness from the mushrooms. A splash of freshly-brewed espresso sprinkled with cinnamon makes for an enticing finish.
*This batch is rated 4.33 on Untappd from early reviews; the previous batch holds a 4.16
Destination Unknown Beer Company - Bay Shore, NY - Abuse of Stout Imperial Stout - 12% ABV - 2x16oz cans
With medals from both the New York State Craft Beer Competition AND the 2019 TAP New York Beer Fest, this crew is one of the hottest breweries in the Empire State!
And while you’re probably not headed to the Big Apple anytime soon (heck, if you’re like most of us, you’re probably barely setting foot off of your own property!) you can still relax and let the chocolate and coffee flavors of Abuse of Stout soothe your soul.
Real cacao nibs and rich vanilla swirl through a Stout base so thick, you can almost chew it. Gooey honey makes the brew even smoother and cranks up the ABV.
Speaking of — better be careful with this one, because you won’t taste a hint of all that 12% ABV, and it’s awfully easy to suck down the whole can in mere minutes. You might want to split it with a friend. Or not. You’re an adult, do what you want!
