Last night, I got my hands on Strawberry Number XXIII, a collab from the top notch brewers at New Image Brewing and Wild Mind Artisan Ales. 

It’s too good to drink alone, so I headed across town to my best friend’s house with a mini-cooler full of cans.

It makes sense given the story behind the Ale! The head brewer at Wild Mind used to work at New Image where the crew would spend nights drinking strawberry gin fizzes. Together, these two breweries created a Fruited Sour full of all the flavors and memories of that drink. 

And now you and your buddies can bond over this brew! 

My friend and I sat outside, sipping on this juicy strawberry, passionfruit, lemon, and hibiscus filled Sour. I thought the best part was the velvety vanilla finish; he insisted that the tropical punch of the El Dorado Hops was the real kicker.

But we both agreed, this tart treat is top notch! People over on Untappd appeared to enjoy Strawberry Number XXIII just as much as we did. @Andrew S. claimed “I’d buy a six pack, pour them in a bowl and drink it all at once” while @Kevin W. assures us this brew is, “pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.” 

Not all of us can brew up a tasty Sour ale with our friends but luckily, we can always come together to enjoy a couple Strawberry Number XXIIIs — as long as we snag a few cans before they’re gone!
