About This Beer
What makes Summer Blush so special?
Dwinell sources all of their ingredients locally, and produces their ales in the time-honored farmhouse style, giving you the chance to really taste the flavors of southern Washington.
The brewers begin with a Wheat Ale using grain and hops from the region spontaneously fermented in oak. After a year of aging, it’s refermented with heaps of Arctic Jay nectarines from Gunkel Orchards, a mere 14 miles from the brewery.
Tasting Notes
This dry and sparkling brew sings with the scent of a newly sliced nectarine accented by grated lemon zest. It’s tart on the sip, like biting into the fruit’s snappy skin. Ripe stone fruit flavors blend with a touch of lemon juice, hints of oak, and a subtle funkiness from the wild yeasts.
