A Note on This Beer

Cocktail connoisseurs and Jimmy Buffet fans both know that a skinny margarita is made using fresh orange juice and agave nectar in place of orange liqueur.

For the in-the-know, it isn’t about counting calories — fresh ingredients just taste better!

New York’s Equilibrium flipped the skinny margarita on its head with a bright, passionfruity Farmhouse IPA take on the speakeasy favorite.

To make their TABA Riwaka, the brewery sparked an interplay of their slow souring process with wild cultures, tropical Riwaka Hops, gravity manipulation, and minerality. Perfecting their funked out base took countless iterations over the years, but one taste of today’s brew and it’s easy to say it was worth it!

It’s an elegant, celebration-worthy brew that’s dry, slightly tart, and full of funky mango, grassy passionfruit, and earthy honeysuckle with a pop of zesty lime. It’s super drinkable and goes down way easier than a margarita. And, at a crushable 6% ABV, we feel pretty good after having a few rounds.

*This beer is unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated, and will continue to evolve and unveil new flavors over time if properly cellared.

With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

A lighter ipa that had an almost champagne taste to it

What a crisp refreshing IPA. Resembles a champagne drink in mouth feel and taste. An IPA leaning towards a sour.

I don’t know about it being a farmhouse ipa. It’s a nice tasty, slightly tart interesting beer. Crystal clear with small bubbles and somewhat champagne taste

Agree with the posts the describing it as champagne like. It definitely has a sharper effervescent quality to it rather than the usual smooth carbonation. Subtle taste, overall enjoyable.

Exactly as billed. A light, crisp IPA with floral grassy notes and a touch of lime that give way to some farmhouse funk and sourness. Super drinkable and refreshing. Well done, EQ!

First Wild Ale from EQ and it delivers. Grassy passion fruit sums this up nicely with a solid, yet balanced and not off putting layer of funk. Finishes dry and inviting.

Interesting and complex set of flavours. At first it’s like a more mild sour but has some sweetness to it for sure. I definitely agree with others that’s there’s a hint of champagne but there’s also some lime rind bitterness too.

Really good saison style beer. Very well balanced with floral nose, nice body and crisp dry finish with hints of apricot.

Lovely. You can tell that it is an IPA in essence, but it's more reminiscent of a wine than a beer. Light and tart.
