A Note on This Beer

Move over, coffee — innovators like the team at Crane Brewing are steeping tea in beers!

They brewed today’s Tea Weiss with a berry rooibos tea blend for a delicate tartness and hibiscus notes. Spritzes of lemon and whispers of jammy red and black currants help round out the brew for tasty, complex refreshment.

Crane says this gently tangy sipper “pours like a fine rosé” and is “easily our most approachable Sour Beer.”

One sip, and I’m inclined to agree. This Weiss is essentially a crushable, 4.1% ABV berry iced tea!

Get some cans chilling in the fridge, and even the staunchest coffee drinkers in your house will gladly switch over to this quenching afternoon tea. Just remember — this is an adults-only tea party.

Men’s Journal calls Crane Brewing’s creations the Best Beer in Missouri!

Great beer, slightly sour and tangy but sweet enough to drink on a boat.

Very bright, tart refreshing berry flavors followed by subtle sweet floral hints. A great beer for the sitting on the patio on a hot afternoon.

Easy sipping and smooth. Not very sweet or sour but just enough of both to nudge the taste buds.

Extremely easy to drink, great afternoon outdoor picnic beer, more fruity with just a touch of rooibus tea at the end

Missing the tea notes. It's not bad, but just tasted like your average sour.

This had notes of tart, sour, acidic, vinegary, and “Oh Lord, why would anyone willingly drink this?” Tea was... not to be found.

beautiful sour ale! aromatics off raspberry green tea, light head that loses retention quickly, tart lemon zest, raspberry notes. micro effervescence but still crisp and palate puckering! love an approachable sour!
