A Note on This Beer
Barleywine fans will tell you — boozy brews like today’s are only for the boldest, most badass beer drinkers on the planet.
If you can’t take the heat, then you’re probably not tough enough.
Take one sip of Adroit Theory’s fully-loaded, 9% ABV Tenebris (Ghost 699) Barleywine and you’ll plunge headfirst into debauchery so delicious, you’ll never look back. Suddenly, you’re wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses, starting brawls with anyone who claims Barleywines are “too intense.”
Today’s smooth operator comes with potent notes of melted toffee and brandy-soaked figs, amplified by decadent, oaky vanilla-caramel. If this is what intensity tastes like, your buddies will be quick to add Tenebris to their wish-lists, too! Next thing you know, you’ll all be getting tattoos together of hearts with ‘MOM’ in the middle.
Crafted in Virginia by the hardcore brewers at Adroit Theory, Tenebris is imbued with badassery. These guys are renowned for their long list of 4+ UT-rated, big ABV, small-batch beers, and today’s Barleywine is no exception!
Adroit’s beers sell out before they’re even bottled. Seriously. The brewers don’t enter competitions or even distribute to their hometown of Purcellville, but beers like Tenebris fly out of the taproom even before the labels are dry. There are few things tougher than taking names and kicking ass without ever having to set foot out the front door.
Adroit Theory fans don’t settle, and neither do Barleywine fans. They want it all: the flavor, the booze, and the expert craftsmanship that puts Tenebris ahead of the crowd. No wonder they already snatched up the entire brewery stash!
