About This Beer
For this sterling stunner, the Stout savants at Masthead started with a rich, cocoay base. They aged it for 10 months in Blanton’s bourbon barrels, then transferred it to Madeira rye casks to age for another 10 months.
Tasting Notes
Every silky sip is like swigging drinking chocolate swirled with bourbon caramel and whiskey-kissed creme anglaise. Peppery spice rises on the end before a bittersweet baker’s chocolate finish.
