A Note on This Beer
I never understood why people buy margarita mix.
I tended bar for YEARS and a margarita is one of the simplest drinks around. Tequila, lime, Triple sec, ice, and shake. That’s it. Get the proportions right and it’ll kick the crap out of anything made with a store-bought mixer.
But today I finally discovered a pre-mixed margarita that’s actually delicious!
This is The Art of Mixing Beer: Passionfruit Margarita Sour IPA. The summertime sipper you never knew you needed, courtesy of the legendary Evil Twin.
No longer do you have to bust out the cocktail shaker (or the blender) to deal with those summertime cocktail cravings! With a few cans of this juicy marg in your stash, you’ll be able to treat your friends to beach-worthy cocktails just by cracking one open. Even easier than a scratch Margarita!
This is the kind of innovative brew that’s earned Evil Twin endless praise from Paste Mag, Forbes, and the New York Times.
To make this cocktail in a can, Evil Twin took the sweet-tart flavor of a margarita, absolutely soaked it in nectarous passionfruit, and magically turned the whole thing into an 8% ABV Sour IPA. And color me flabbergasted, because it worked!
Pour this bright yellow brew into a pint glass, and prepare to be overwhelmed by aromas of tartly tropical passionfruit, fresh-squeezed lime, and juicy mandarin orange. Take a sip, and a hint of pineapple shines across the palate before giving way to waves of citrus and still more passionfruit.
After the first taste, you’ll be tempted to salt the rim of your glass. Which I tried by the way, and it’s pretty damn good.
So next time you see someone at a barbecue or a pool party dumping neon green nonsense into a blender, just hand ‘em a Passionfruit Margarita. One sip and they’ll forget all about manning the cocktail bar.
Serve ice cold for maximum summer refreshment.
