About This Beer
If Alaska broke off and drifted over to Hawaii, this is the beer everyone would be drinking at the luau. The Anchorage team started by brewing a tangy Sour Ale base with a Saison yeast, Brettanomyces, and their house mixed culture. They dry-hopped with plenty of Nelson Sauvin, aged the brew in Missouri oak, then conditioned it on passionfruit, peach, and key lime.
Tasting Notes
Expect bold flavors of tangy citrus and plenty of tropical fruit in every drop. A touch of wild funk adds complexity along with hints of oak and a slightly hoppy, earthy note in the background.

I usually don’t do this type of beer, but I mean common, it’s Anchorage! It was pretty nice, east drinking and very pleasant. Glad I tried.

Not an expert on Sours… Lemony easy and Key Limey tart. Grapefruit too. There is a crapload of fruits that this sour was finished on… but the Key Lime is what you’ll remember.

broad flavors for a sour but well executed!

very sour, the colder the beer the more enjoyable, fruity and woody flavors hit the tongue when first tasted, slightly yeasty.

Tart with slight hints of oak and hoppiness with a moderate, yet not overwhelming key lime finish

Scent of passionfruit and lime upfront. A rich, barrel-aged sour with mild tropical and citrus flavors, not quite strong enough to distinguish. Finishes with tangy funkiness and a hint of stone fruit.
