That’s how we’d describe Evil Twin’s smooth-as-silk double-barreled Imperial Stout from the crew at Evil Twin. But no matter how you choose to describe it – with your friends at a dinner party or passing it around at a tasting with fellow dark beer lovers – one thing’s for certain: it’s luxury in a glass.

For the 29th installment in their Great Northern Barrel Series, the ET brewers aged the base for three whole years in a duo of barrels – first in Sine Qua Non Red Wine barrels, then in Henry McKenna 12 Year Aged Bourbon barrels.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant depths of bourbon oak complexity tangle with roasted espresso flavor. It’s like a slice of lava cake finely glazed in whiskey caramel and topped with coffee cake crumble.

so, so boozy from the start it was present and as it warmed it was even more love the red wine plus the bourbon would definitely buy again

Intense!🍷🥃☕️ in that order. It’s like someone dropped a shot of bourbon in my espresso and then dropped that into my glass of silky smooth aged Cabernet. Soon as the cap pops red wine infiltrates your senses, followed by bourbon. IDK who decided to add BBA coffee, but it was brilliant! The interplay of the 3 are nothing short of phenomenal. Somehow ET managed to combine my 3 favorite beverages. Pure Sex. Soon as the cap pops red wine infiltrates your senses, followed by bourbon. IDK who decided to add BBA coffee, but it was brilliant!
