A Note on This Beer

Juicy Tang: Hopped with Mandarina Bavaria and Huell Melon, this Pils brims with much more bright citrus than your average Lager! Comfortably Familiar: Just like The Mandalorian, it’s refreshingly new but pleasantly recognizable. Perfect Pairing: The ideal brew to go with Disney+ binging, seafood, pizza, and that gif of Baby Yoda drinking.

I’m all for classic styles, but a traditional Pils with new German hops just for the sake of Lager science?

This is the way.

For The Mandarinian, the Pondaseta crew started with a tried and true base of German Pilsner Malt and Munich Lager Yeast. But, in an inspired twist, they dry hopped the brew with Mandarina Bavaria and Huell Melon for vibrant surges of citrus and berry!

Nuances of bread and herbs lead each sip. Luscious mandarin and a kiss of strawberry follow closely behind before a faintly floral finish.

A sensational Pils with a succulent new hop approach? This is the way. Nabbing some extra cans to share with buds because of the killer label and name? This is also the way.

I remember when first tasting this I thought that the Mandarin character from the hops was really nicely balanced. this is one of those where the initial character fades fairly quickly. what you're left with is a really nicely balanced sort of gentle IPA. if I could do a split rating I would do closer to four and a half stars when I first got it and four now. it's a nice beer to drink.
