About This Beer
To make this utterly unique, 4.26 UT-rated sipper, the masterful team at Elder Pine started by brewing a Sour Ale base made with debittered and huskless roasted malts for a rich dark hue with minimal roast character. They fermented it using their house mixed-culture, creating vibrant farmhouse nuances. Then, they let it rest in whiskey barrels for a whole 14 months!
Tasting Notes
The final result teems with quaffable complexity. The sip starts out bright and tangy, with lush sour cherry notes taking center stage. Hints of overripe raspberry drizzled in dark chocolate and whiskey sour cocktail nuances flow underneath, leading to a sophisticated kiss of wood char on the finish. And it’s all hiding a 9% ABV.
