About This Beer
The Morning After Den Haag is a BBA English-style Imperial Old Ale aged in a mixture of hand-selected bourbon barrels, and ex-bourbon maple syrup barrels. It also features real additions of premium maple syrup and gourmet coffee, for flavors of fluffy french toast, and fresh-ground espresso.
Tasting Notes

Powerful maple syrup aftertones combined with a soft hitting bourbon finish make this an absolute delicacy.

Amazing. Very strong maple flavor. I love it. Killer maple + barrel aged combo of booze and it is a good one. The sweetness hooks me since I’m not a huge barrel aged guy. Would kill to have this pancakes & sausage. Reminds me of French Toast Bastard a bit from Founders. can’t taste any coffee really though but I was very excited to try a beer finally from this awesome brewery.

Bourbon, coffee, and maple. Fairly sweet. Not my favorite blend of BA.

Excellent! Smooth but strong bourbon flavor. Low carbonation.

Very Nice! This has a great maple/bourbon taste. The only sad thing was that the can was only 8.5 fl oz. I wanted more.

Takes first prize as the booziest beer I’ve had; it offers some whiskey burn. A touch of soy sauce in scent and flavor. I’d rate it higher, but that quality perplexes me. Otherwise, the maple and smoothness are spot on. Coffee is subdued, but present.

This beer is good but worth $11 for 8-9oz that it is, No. I split it with my husband and that’s about as much of the beer as I would be able to drink. it’s sweetness is a little much for me. should have a little more balance and heat for how boozy it is.

too boozy

Intensely sweet, molasses texture of coffee, maple syrup, and bourbon. Decadent; needs to be slowly sipped, but has wonderful flavors

oh yeah. interesting taste, boozy with maple syrup.

too chemically a flavor, the "maple" tastes fake and overpowers the sun

Very smooth for almost 17%, skeezer! It’s an 8 oz can so the punch of just over 2 beers by content. Nice coffee blending in this bad boy.

Boozy maple-forward ale, good.
But I can' say it's better than original. same?

it's so rich and smooth, not overly sweet or syrupy. this is dangerous...

love tasting bourbon and maple in an old ale instead of a BA stout.

Another fantastic release from Hoppin' Frog! Notes of coffee, maple, and brown sugar this one is a great sipper. Good thing this comes in a smaller can because this one packs a punch.

Serious maple on the nose. And great bourbon flavor. Yum.
