About This Beer
If you’re a member of the #BarleywineIsLife crowd, you can probably hear this brew calling your name all the way from Florida.
That’s where the crew at 3 Sons teamed up with their pals at The Veil to craft this beast. Together, they took their sticky-thick Barleywine base, and aged it in a combination of rye whiskey barrels and stainless steel. By blending them back together, they achieved optimum barrel character without overwhelming the malty flavors of the original brew.
Tasting Notes
Take a sip of The Return, and you’ll find everything you’re looking for in a barrel aged English-style Barleywine. Gooey toffee flavors and notes of candied date and fig, hints of orange zest and a touch of oak, plus a warm and slightly spicy rye whiskey finish.
And, a no nonsense 12.5% ABV of course!
