A Note on This Beer
Unless your friends are dialed into the festival circuit, odds are they’ve never heard of Garden Path Fermentation — a boutique sized brewery founded by two Jester King alums. It’s just a matter of time before that changes and with today’s limited release, you could be the one to change it for them.
The Subtle Blend Montmorency Barrels is a captivating barrel aged blended Wild Ale that showcases what Garden Path is all about: using 100% native yeast fermentation and locally sourced ingredients, such as whole Montmorency cherries and blackberry honey, to send you down a path you never saw coming.
From the aroma to the flavor, this blended ale is a delicate and refined drinking experience — like if Alice went down a pristine ravine on a bubbly cloud instead of being shot down the rabbit hole. There is so much nuance: from the soft tart flesh of the cherry to the slight funk of the naturally harvested yeast. This particular cherry variety also yields tasty accents of baking spices. From the dry, crisp Pilsner Malts to the soft flaked oats, we could go on and on … and amongst ourselves we do. Essentially when you drink Montmorency, you feel like you’re drinking the heart of Washington State … because you are.
Featured in Draft Magazine, celebrated by insiders and hunted by hardcore craft traders, Garden Path is on point to become a destination brewery in the same esteemed company of Hill Farmstead and yes, Jester King. Invite this very scarce offering into your circle and you’ll be one of the early few to say, I’ve known about Garden Path since the very beginning.
