A Note on This Beer
Spoiler Alert: in Arrested Development, the money in the banana stand wasn’t theoretical. It was real — as in, $250,000 real! So, when the family unwittingly burned the stand down, my jaw dropped.
I had a similar reaction when I heard that 16-month old Sig Brewing is already crafting some of the most creative sippers in the beer-soaked Pacific Northwest — with a one-man brew team!
I had to ask myself: How does ONE GUY haul the ridiculous amounts of bananas, raspberries, and mangoes that go into There’s Always Money in the Smoothie Stand? Not to mention, meticulously adding vanilla and lactose to make this baby extra thick and creamy!
This sumptuous smoothie overflows with flavors of perfectly ripe bananas, tangy raspberries, and tropical mangoes. It’s like taking big spoonfuls of tropical gelato and letting it slowly melt on your tongue. And, outside of Tavour, it’s only available in the brewery’s Washington taproom.
Thankfully, they’ve recently hired another brewer — which makes me EXTRA excited to see what this small but mighty crew has in the works! Because, unlike the dysfunctional Bluth family on Arrested Development, these guys are a highly-skilled, cooperative team.
The next time you need to cool off with a lusciously boozy smoothie, heed George Bluth’s advice: There’s Always Money in the Smoothie Stand.
