The Dunkel is one of Munich’s most revered styles. It comes as no surprise, then, that the German beer masters at Wayfinder make a dang fine rendition. Double Decocting and cold conditioning the brew unlocks the delightfully crushable, dark roasted notes.
Tasting Notes
Pour one into a proper pint, and let the aromas fill the room. The exceptionally mature malts bring roasty aromas before you raise the glass to your lips. Each sip starts with rich malt flavors, followed by a deep lathering of butterscotch. Then, it surprises the palate with a crispy, lager-like finish.

A solid Dunkel. Until they start B.Aging them and finishing them on Bavarian pretzels (joke), this Dunkel is as good as any other I've had.

Most American-made dunkels err on being to dark and too strong, coming out more like razor-sharp ESBs. This gets the style right, being clean and warm and not too dark.
