The craft masters at Varietal Beer Company made today’s sensational sipper for the Brower’s Cafe’s 21st annual ‘Hard Liver’ Barleywine Festival! To get the most decadent and delicious flavors possible, the crew blended two unique Barleywine recipes — one aged for 18 months in Willet bourbon barrels and a younger brew aged for 6 months.
Tasting Notes
Notes of dark dried fruits, molasses, and caramel erupt from the sip, with a backbone of deep maltiness holding the whole thing together. Whispers of warming whiskey and oaky vanilla peek through on the backend, adding sublime sophistication to the finish.
