A Note on This Beer

I love cupcakes! Just slather a thick layer of frosting on top, and you’ve got a perfectly-sized morsel of deliciousness.

But, aside from the name, today’s 4-pack of Todd’s Cupcakes from Wolf’s Ridge is anything but bite-sized. These decadent Pastry Stouts come with colossal ABVs and even bigger dessert flavors!

Feast your eyes on this boozy bake sale from the 2020 GABF gold medalists:

Todd’s Cupcakes Peanut Butter Cup - 12.2% ABV

With swirls of exotic Vietnamese cinnamon, single origin cacao, and toasted peanuts, Todd’s Cupcakes Peanut Butter Cup goes down as smooth as a slightly melted dark chocolate Reese’s.

It’s even got craft fan @Martin P. waxing poetic: “This is a beer to be savored . . . you’ll enjoy every moment. Makes you ponder what you did right in life.”

Todd’s Cupcakes Coffee Cake - 12.2% ABV

The brewers crafted this sumptuous cake with single origin cacao, Madagascar vanilla beans, Vietnamese cinnamon, and single origin coffee. Each silky mouthful evokes sensations of fluffy coffee cake topped with crumbly cinnamon topping!

It’s delightfully creamy and well-balanced, like following a bite of cake with a foamy vanilla latte.

Todd’s Cupcakes Mint Chocolate Chip - 12.2% ABV

Like artisan confectioners, Wolf’s Ridge crafted Mint Chocolate Chip with real mint leaves, single origin cacao, and Madagascar vanilla beans.

Flavors of bright mint and dark chocolate swirl together on the palate, like boozy Thin Mint cookies. It’s as tempting as mint chocolate chip ice cream, and goes down just as easy.

Todd’s Cupcakes Mexican Hot Chocolate - 12.2% ABV

Last but certainly not least, Mexican Hot Chocolate warms the chest with a spicy kick of ancho and serrano chiles! Single origin cacao amps up this brew’s rich, chocolatey body, while Madagascar vanilla adds a subtle sweetness to balance out the heat.

This boozy, well-balanced “spicy boi” has craft fan @Mike G. declaring, “Bold, beautiful, and delicious! WOW!”

You can almost see him kissing his fingers with delight!

So, go ahead — call up your Stout-lovin’ buddies, and invite them over for a cupcake tasting flight! These don’t come with frosting, but if you want to pair them with a spoonful of French buttercream, we won’t judge!

Hop Culture named Wolf’s Ridge one of the Top 5 Breweries in Columbus!

I really liked this stout, it’s more coffee and cinnamon than cake but delicious.

Extremely strong roasted coffee aroma and taste, with the complimentary spice of cinnamon. While the vanilla does lend sweetness, it does lean heavily towards the bitter end of the imperial stout spectrum.
