A Note on This Beer

Decidedly Flavorful: Pillowy, plush waves of golden haze deliver huge flavors of tangerines and sweet mandarin, while zesty notes of ruby red grapefruit balance it out. Choice Hops: Brewed with Vic Secret and Citra Hops.

If you had to, would you share your last can of Anchorage IPA with your best friend, or would you save it for later and drink it all yourself?

Before you decide, what if I told you that Alaskan locals are calling this hopjuice, “as close to perfect as a Hazy IPA can get?”

Don’t worry, there are no real consequences to how you answer. However, there are actual consequences to skipping out on today’s Anchorage Double IPA, Torn.

For instance, not getting to experience all its Vic Secret and Citra-hopped glory. Anchorage’s deftly skilled hop talents come through full force in every sip of Torn!

As is true of all Anchorage’s juicy-fruity IPAs, you can’t just waltz over to your neighborhood bottle shop to grab a case. If you don’t decide to grab a couple cans now, some other happy haze fiend will gladly nab it instead. Then, both you AND your best friend will be out of luck!

You know the right choice here.

Sip Magazine calls out Anchorage Brewing for crafting “some of the most coveted pours on the global craft scene!”

With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

Barrel-aged in a coffin Spiced with orange, studded with cinnamon, anise, and clove sprockets There's an aroma off the surface like the ghost of wintergreen mouthwash, which is very strange Spooky beer

A bit more opaque than I would’ve thought, tasting notes of ripe fruit and soft pine, but just didn’t have that one flavor that kept me coming back for more

Smells better than it tastes. Not bad by any means but ends up tasting closer to a standard IPA

Nose is hoppy, floral & dank. Pours hazy golden-apricot w/robust head. Clean, smooth mouthfeel. On the palate , it’s citrus-forward w/prominent tangerine & grapefruit. There’s some modest pine as well. Subtle, but flavorful. Low to moderate bitterness.
