A Note on This Beer

Nestled at the base of the lush, green Columbia River Gorge lies Logsdon Farmhouse Ales. They craft some of the most exquisite brews in the Pacific Northwest, and today we’ve got a small supply of their latest release to share.

Two Rivers Violette is an intriguing blend of 75% Malbec grape Saison and 25% Brettanomyces Table Saison, with nearly two pounds per gallon of locally-grown Malbec grapes.

It pours a dark, mysterious shade of violet, with a medium body and crisp carbonation from the bottle conditioning. Notes of juicy blackberries, black cherries, and well-worn leather waft from its unfiltered pour, culminating in a whisper of hay-like funk. At the end of your sip, a kiss of red wine tannins give it a delightful, lip-smacking finish.

We recommend chilling it overnight, then pairing it with dinner on the patio on a warm summer evening. It’s crisp and light enough for almost any meal, but flavorful enough to be an experience all on its own.

However you enjoy it, this sophisticated sipper is sure to impress.

Tavour strictly supports independent beer. Logsdon Farmhouse Ales is certified independent by the Brewers Association

this was a very good farmhouse ale. I liked it because it had a little bit of sweetness. The flavor was awesome.

Pretty solid funk on this one. I don’t get a ton of grape. Very dry and not overly tart. Way more funk then anything

Dry, almost like it was aged in a clay urn. Decent outing but the flavors lose a lot of distinction, blending into something which is neither too crisp nor too tart, but fails to reach the heights described for either.

Sour, but overly sour. As a person that doesn’t like sours when it’s too much, I really enjoyed this one.
