A Note on This Beer
Deep in the heart of Denver’s Bluebird District, there’s a classroom that caters to those 21+.
The lessons are hands-on and often include chemistry beakers filled with craft beers of varying colors and ABVs. And the teachers? They’re as knowledgeable as it gets — they’re Certified Cicerones!
What is this wonderful classroom, you ask? Why it’s Cerebral Brewing’s taproom!
These guys may be new to Tavour, but they’ve been honing their craft for years. Cerebral purposely keeps operations small to ensure quality, and they've got medals from the US Beer Open, Best of Craft Beer Awards and GABF to show for it!
But good luck finding them outside the Mile High City. Even if you made the trip to Denver, you won’t see today’s brew scrawled on Cerebral’s blackboard draft list. Unexpected Mutation Wild Ale is in bottles only, and they only made 80 cases!
Now’s your chance to feel like the teacher’s pet because Cerebral set aside a small stash of Unexpected Mutation just for Tavour members! Sipping this honeyed and crushable 7.1% ABV Wild Ale is as relaxingly decadent as getting to skip gym class!
Cerebral took a Saison base and aged it in California Chardonnay Barrels for 12 whole months! The brewers added Madagascar vanilla beans and Meyer lemons for tangy sweetness. Yeah, we’ll go ahead and give this Wild Ale an “A+” right now.
Unexpected Mutation is a refreshing treat after a long day of beer-studying. Each mouthful swirls with juicy white peach, bursting pineapple, creamy vanilla and sweet coconut. Oak and chardonnay undertones hint at this brew’s barrel napping past. Zesty lemon smacks on the finish.
Now, be forewarned that your buddies won’t leave you alone once they spot you with that cool new brew nobody else has. Be sure to grab some extra bottles of Unexpected Mutation to share with the whole class — that is, your whole crew!
