About This Beer
To create this rarity, the brewers started with a luscious, lactose-infused Milk Stout, then they let it slumber in bourbon barrels until it picked up hints of caramel, oak, and top shelf whiskey. Finally, they accentuated those flavors with a massive 2lbs per gallon of Montmorency, Morello, Bing, and Van cherries.
Tasting Notes
And after nearly seven years in Fremont’s cellar, we expect it to be silkier and smoother than ever, with pronounced notes of rich fudge. Hints of fruity cherry should sparkle on the edges, leading to a smooth, lingering, barrel-forward finish.

I shared this bottle for an alternate opinion and we both agreed that the flavors came out with warming, but the cherries seemed distant, though the barrel nuances were more pronounced.

Not my fav. It tasted a bit old, like the age on it wasn’t settling in as well as you’d hope. It was also way too sweet. A rare miss from Fremont.

Chocolate, sweet cherries and vanilla on entrance, develops into a flash of booze, cherry and bourbon, and the finish is vanilla and cherry cordial.
