A Note on This Beer
Earlier this year, the folks at Hop Culture checked out all 80 breweries in craft-crazed Grand Rapids, Michigan, and named Arvon one of their Top 6! But they were careful to note that “Arvon keeps its distribution pretty limited. So if you’re in town, this might be your only opportunity to try their beer.”
Our response? Screw that! You should be able to kick back on your couch and enjoy a pint of Voyager NEIPA!
And while we’d love to make that dream a reality for every single craft fan out there, Arvon’s batches are too limited, and their local fans are too formidable. We were only able to smuggle a handful of cases out of The Mitten State before they slurped up the rest!
If you’re lucky enough to snag one, you are in for a treat.
Aromas of fresh OJ and ruby red grapefruit leap from the can the moment you crack the top. Take a sip, and you’ll encounter bold flavors of pineapple and mango, followed closely by tangerine and nuances of lemon-lime, all from Mosaic, Galaxy, and Citra Hops. On the finish, the thick, slightly malty body serves to balance a whisper of pine and a hint of pith.
If you’re headed to Grand Rapids, by all means, hit up Arvon’s taproom and sample literally anything they have on tap — you can’t go wrong. Until then, you can enjoy a pint from the comfort of home. Because we can’t let the Michiganders have ALL the fun.
According to PorchDrinking, Arvon brews “some next level New England!”
