About This Beer
Westbound & Down crafted a Double IPA with an absurd amount of Vic Secret, Galaxy, Mosaic, and Cryo Mosaic Hops. The delicious result was enough for a silver medal at the GABF!
Tasting Notes
The Imperial’s tropical nose draws you in with bushels of lupulin-laced fruit aromas. The cone quartet creates a tangy, sweet sip of tangerine and grapefruit tones that blend into berry and papaya notes. And it’s all carried across your palate by a malty caramel backbone.
As the crisp, resinous finish leaves you buzzing, you might break into the chorus of “Rocky Mountain High” — that’s the 8.5% ABV at work!

Sweet tropical fruit with a little caramel malt and a big bitter hop finish. Medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation. Overall, a nice DIPA.
