A Note on This Beer

Humble Forager brewed Western Skyline for the adventurous!

You know the type — the folks who’ll wake up at dawn to scuba dive in the icy Pacific Ocean, or drive for hours just to get to the perfect hiking trail.

And, of course, it’s for people who’ll relish the refreshing, delicious liquid once they reach the summit — or, the water’s surface.

With lush cones of Chinook, Centennial, Mosaic, and Citra Hops, the brewers coaxed out notes of bright citrus and invigorating pine. An earthy dankness wafts from its bright orange pour, followed by flavors of lip-puckering lemons, juicy oranges, and tangy grapefruit. A smooth, biscuity mouthfeel surrounds the tongue with every mouthwatering sip, finishing crisp and clean.

Its 8% ABV warms the belly towards the end — yet another reason why this brew is for the bold.

So, go ahead — toss a few cans in your backpack. Your next adventure awaits.

too sweet. I know most west coast imperials can be sweet. I enjoyed it but not my favorite

West coast hops, but a smoother mouthfeel than most west coast IPAs. A little bit odd

The flavors conjure supple, smooth, well balanced pine with a whisper of citrus. The mouth feel reminds me of the way a thin sheet of silk ripples on the breeze.

This beer is confounding. It’s the malt-y-ist caramel west coast bitter-ist “IPA” I’ve had. Quotes added for emphasis.

Not your typical West Coast IPA, but piney/resinous enough with good malt balance
