A Note on This Beer

What Maryland Does is an impressively juicy Imperial NEIPA by itself. But, what REALLY sets this juicy explosion apart is the fact it’s a super collaboration between 28 of Maryland’s finest breweries.

That’s like if the Avengers teamed up with the Justice League AND the Power Rangers!

There is plenty of power to be found in this limited hopbomb’s pillowy depths. Each 8% ABV sip boasts loads of gushing grapefruit, ripe mango, and dank papaya flavors, deepened with a waft of pine resin on the finish.

It’s all thanks to a stunning hop bill of Centennial and Mosaic in the whirlpool, plus lush double dry-hopped helpings of Sabro, Citra, and Mosaic!

Such a feat must have a leader, à la Tony Stark or the Red Power Ranger. That would be the Maryland Beer Cup gold medalists at True Respite!

Bethesda Magazine says True Respite makes the region “a haven for beer lovers,” and after a sip of today’s impressive collab, we have to agree. After all, these masterminds brought together their favorite brewers to celebrate their industry and hone their skills together.

For a true taste of Maryland’s exploding craft scene, it doesn’t get much better than this!

Hazy, juicy, IPA with a ton of complexity and an unexpected bit of broad earthiness. A decent amount of malty bread notes with a clean, yet bitter finish.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy straw color, fine, silky head. Musky, fruity aroma with a dank edge. Taste is a veritable fruit salad, so many flavors, overripe notes. And a hint of dank . Smooth and velvety, but leaves a tingle on the palate.

Nice aromas. A very solid beer for its style. I understand the project behind the beer, but it just feels like a “too many cooks in the kitchen” kind of situation where I’m probably not getting the best from everyone because it might be lots of clashing or not enough input from one brewery over another. Still very nice.

Aroma is floral, citrus, and that Sabro hop showing some coconut. This sabro character is really complemented by the citrus and the soft grassy / scallion flavors. Pretty tasty brew!

Holy hops! 28 breweries! This hazy DIPA is so nice and softly juicy from the tangerines. There’s just the slightest hint of grapefruit but overall it’s a more sweet NE imperial double thanks to the additional mango and papaya. The pine and cloves add a pinch of spiciness. It’s a pretty dank beer courtesy of Maryland.

This is a very nice easy drinking DIPA. Lots of tropical mango and papaya. It is almost creamy and texture.
