About This Beer
The Dru Bru crew started with a burley, German-style Doppelbock brimming with rich nuances of fresh baked bread and golden caramel. Then they aged it for 11 months in Buffalo Trace and Maker’s Mark barrels for even more toffee decadence.
Tasting Notes
Chewy date and roasty malt lead the sip, with warm whiskey oak swirling just beneath. It’s like brioche toast topped with whiskey-soaked fig jam and drizzled in honey.

Barrel aging doesn't work for every style, but I'm digging this BA doppelbock. IMO, DB is on to something here. Well done!

Cracked this over Thanksgiving weekend and I think there was something wrong with it.

A touch of wild ale funkiness. And a nice boozy hint as well. Quite good.
