About This Beer
To create this 4.33 UT-rated ‘Appalachian Wild Ale,’ the crew at Fonta Flora first harnessed their natural microfauna to spontaneously ferment a bright, tangy base with real plum and nectarine. Then they aged the beer in Old Tom gin barrels to accentuate those wild and fruity flavors with bold botanicals and a touch of oak.
Tasting Notes
Hints of juniper, white pepper, and lemon zest. Notes of fresh-cut grass. Nuances of jammy plum and lingering nectarine on the finish. Open a bottle of Why ‘Cause, and you’ll discover all of that and so much more.

Really nice notes of plums, and nectarines with a good sourness. The botanicals and juniperfrom the gin barrel hits at very end and it’s delightful.
