About This Beer
To make it, the New Image crew blended a selection of Stout brewed in collaboration with Phase Three aged for 15 months in Laws Wheat and Laws Rye barrels. Then they took an even older Barleywine from their cellar — specifically the stock used to create last year’s 4.42 UT-rated 9505 and 4.49 UT-rated Intent — and gave it an additional treatment of Spanish cedar before blending into the Stout.
Tasting Notes
Rich caramel notes cascade overtop the roasty malts, with delightful dark fruit and tobacco accents underneath. The exotic wood brings a whisper of spice and resin to the backend, leading to sublime whiskey-oak nuances on the finish. It’s hard to believe this comes with a 15.58% ABV!

Sweet and spicy sipper. Flavors of dark fruit and caramel with a lively peppery kick from the rye. Diggin this blend.
