About This Beer
Back in the winter of 2019, Jester King traveled to Fonta Flora to craft the first part of this delightfully sour sipper. They brewed it using North Carolina and Texas-grown malted and raw barley and wheat. After spontaneously fermenting the wort with ambient local yeasts, the team racked it into oak barrels to age.
Twelve months later, they did it all again. Finally, they blended the older and younger wild brews together, for the best of both vintages.
Tasting Notes
Lively carbonation carries bright citrus and hay aromas from the glass to your nose. On the palate, tart lemon nuances mesh beautifully with farmhouse notes of earth and horse blanket. Hints of full bodied chardonnay peek through mid-sip. And all that zesty, vinous funk culminates in a refreshingly dry finish that fans have called “so good I could cry.”
