A Note on This Beer
Listermann Brewing has the Pastry Stout game on lock.
If you’ve sampled any number of baked good-inspired treats we’ve snagged from them, you already know this! Even if that’s the case, you haven’t tasted one quite like today’s.
The Listermann crew has outdone themselves, stuffing cacao, vanilla, and “a bunch of whole a** coconuts” into a Rye Chocolate Stout!
We’ve tried tons of coconut beers, but this one stands out by leaping beyond the flakes. Those crafty Cincinnati brewers went coco-nuts and really added the whole fruit straight into the beer along with their other luscious additions.
Let each sip linger on the tongue for nuances of roasty mocha, creamy vanilla ganache, and hints of rye spice. But, make no mistake, this complex sipper is all about the coconut! Mingled with the dark malts of the base brew, the tropical fruit offers luxurious waves of chocolate-dipped macaroon decadence.
Plus, at 12% ABV, this Imperial Stout’s even got enough booze to make your chest hairy like a coconut. Not in the literal sense, but more in the “oh man, I’m tingling all over in boozy coconut dessert dream heaven” kind of way. Enjoy!
