Which is why Gun Hill aged their coveted GABF Gold medal winning Stout for 12-months in Woodford Reserve barrels to make today’s rare 2019 Barrel-Aged Void of Light for the celebration!

With only 360 bottles in existence, devoted fans had no choice but to make the onerous journey out to the taproom for a chance to get a taste.

As New York’s champion on Business Insider’s list of the Best Beer in Every State, Void of Light is already a must-try brew for Dark Beer fans around the country. But in commemoration of their anniversary, Gun Hill wanted to make an even more robust and complex version to celebrate.

All the richness of cocoa and soothing vanilla is infused with layers of oaky char and tannic dryness. Swirls of caramel drip from notes of almonds and wisps of smoky tobacco. The 7.9% ABV is enveloped into a silky smooth body, ending each sip with a yearning for another.
