About This Beer
To craft it, the Southern Grist Stout specialists started with a cocoay base aged for 17 to 27 months in bourbon, rye, and rum barrels, introducing baking spice and oak tones to the mix. Then they blended the casks together before conditioning it all on toasted coconut, marshmallows, cacao nibs, and peanut butter cake sauce.
Tasting Notes
Dark chocolate ganache notes cascade into rich flavors of peanut praline and caramelized coconut on every thick quaff. Hints of rummy brown sugar seep into nuances of bourbon toffee and woody vanilla underneath, further obscuring the 10.1% ABV.
