A Note on This Beer
The Black is Beautiful Initiative began at Weathered Souls, a black-owned brewery in Texas. Now, over 1,000 breweries are banding together worldwide!
By featuring the Black is Beautiful label and putting their own stamp on a unified Stout recipe, they’re bringing awareness to injustices that people of color face daily.
And, by snagging a few cans of today’s U.S. Open Beer Championship Gold Medal-winning edition from Pontoon Brewing, you can show your support for their collective mission! That is, “to bridge the gap that has been around for ages and provide a platform to show that the brewing community is an inclusive place for everyone of any color.”
To craft this deliciously decadent sip, the brewers took inspiration from the classic Tiramisu dessert. They layered the brew with roasty coffee from Black and Bold roasters, luscious chocolate, creamy vanilla, and real graham crackers. It really is like biting into a freshly made slice of that Italian delicacy!
Plus, Pontoon will donate 20% of proceeds to Southerners on New Ground, an organization for racial and economic justice in the south.
When you drink this award-winning Stout, you’re raising a glass with breweries and craft lovers from sea to shining sea in support of positive change!
Pontoon’s version of Black is Beautiful took Gold at the 2020 U.S. Open Beer Championships!
