About This Beer
For many a fledgling craft fan, Jester King’s legendary Black Metal Farmhouse Imperial Stout opened up a world of possibility. The marriage between rich Stout and complex Wild Ale nuances (a style rarely seen stateside at the time) blew tasters' minds in the best way possible!
Tasting Notes
Look forward to bittersweet baker’s chocolate and heavy notes of tobacco mingling with vinous cherry undertones. Espresso roastiness and a blast of char lead the way to a bone-dry finish, prepping your mouth for another luxurious sip.

Nice bretty stout. Chocolate and coffee intertwine with dark cherry acidity and some funk. Very interesting!

I haven’t had a lot of experience with the style, but I could definitely try some more after this

Very, very interesting beer. Almost a drain pour, but decided against it. If you look at what this beer is, technically, it is what it says it is. But it is definitely not a crowd pleaser and would be a beer for those who love the technicalities and intricacies of craft beer. I love farmhouse. I love imperial stouts. Bone dry beers are ok to me. But the most important question I think about when drinking beer is: would I recommend this beer to a friend? Or Would I buy this beer again? In both instances, the answer is no.

Weird. Toasty stout with a hint of sour

Funky and not really my thing. I’m sure there’s a huge audience for this though.
