About This Beer
There are Wild Ales featuring stone fruit, and then there’s Blossom. This Cellador stunner includes nearly a dozen varieties of peaches, nectarines, and apricots — every type their friends at Masumoto Family Farm grow!
The team started with soft, Berliner Weisse-inspired mixed-culture Ales aging in oak barrels. As each fruit came into its peak, the brewers added a whopping 75 lbs per barrel. After a couple more months of maturation, they blended everything together into a single beer that encompasses the entire harvest season.
Finally, Cellador conditioned it with a touch of honey, giving it a champagne-like carbonation and hint of additional sweetness.
Tasting Notes
Every whiff is like a stroll through an orchard on a summer’s day, with aromas of sun-ripened produce, dried grass, and wildflowers on the breeze. The taste follows, adding layered nuances of lush nectar, dried apricot, and tangy nectarine skin inflected by a whisper of lemon zest.
