About This Beer
For Barrel Aged Bucket of Bolts, River North took their fan-favorite Barleywine and let it rest in bourbon barrels, accentuating all that sticky sweetness with layers of oak and whiskey vanilla.
Tasting Notes
Rich currents of dates, chocolate covered raisins, and golden caramel course through every sip. Whispers of woody spice and just a bit of bitterness balance out the decadent bread pudding flavors.

I wished for BA of this earlier in the year and I got it! Fantasticly smooth caramel malt booze, some hops appear when at room temp but otherwise super easy drinking toffee juice. Medium light bodied tastiness.

chocolate, dark fruit, whiskey. all good

Malt sweetness up front on palate and nose. Average BW body with mild booze as it warms. Not really getting any bourbon. Enjoyable but rather bland BW.

Very mild raisin/fig/caramel complexity with barrel char and soft burn. Not the intensity I had expected, but respectable.

2023 rye whiskey variant. Caramel, toffee, spicy rye, sweet, vanilla, oak

this isn’t a sticky sugar bomb that’s all the rage right now. it’s almost effervescent, and light enough for a barleywine beginner to dip their does in the soup

dry, soy sauce, light chocolate, soy sauce, alcohol taste. It's not very complex. It's a perfect barley wine for a novice.I also prefer, more chocolate notes, and sweetness from smell and taste. Smell is, very bland, and subtly sweet.
