Confession: The last time I supplied the dessert at a dinner party, I left half in my car to take home later. I slaved over those two creme-fraiche coated blackberry pies —  I deserved it! 

And, at 8 AM the following morning, I indulged in gleeful spoonfuls of plump-berry goodness between steamy sips of coffee. Needless to say, I strongly recommend making pie your breakfast of choice! 

Luckily, it looks like the brew specialists Braxton Brewing discovered “pie for breakfast” already! Their brand new Blackberry Pie Stout overflows with a rush of velvety-sweet berry flavor, alongside lush notes of roasted coffee. 

A delectable black Stout lays a foundation of medium roast coffee, balanced by semi-sweet baker’s chocolate. Heaps of lactose and oats generate a silky smooth mouthfeel. Fresh blackberry puree — added late in the fermentation process — delights the palate with waves of juicy-sweet, succulent jam. 

Trust me, your friends will appreciate a slice of this craft-pie. I, for one, plan on snagging a few cans and (might) consider sharing!
