About This Beer
The brewer’s started with a rich and fudgy base for this brew, made even more delectable with additions of vanilla, tugboat coffee, and maple syrup. Then they let this sleeping dog lie in a whiskey foeder for a full year. Still not satisfied, they transferred the brew to Elijah Craig 18 year barrels for ANOTHER year!
Tasting Notes
This beer is genuinely phenomenal. It’s thick bodied and lusciously flavorful, but with roasty coffee notes to balance the malts it remains shockingly approachable. Nuances of toffee and maple make for a sweet finish, but it’s never cloying. It looks like the type of brew you might want to split with a friend, but after one sip you’ll probably wish you had a second bottle.

In order of flavor prominence: roasted coffee, buttery whiskey, medium maple sweetness. Smooth and full bodied, without being thick. It checks all the boxes.
