A Note on This Beer
Cincinnati, Ohio. High Noon. A shadowy figure dressed in black stands alone in the middle of a dusty crossroads. And it’s time for you to go out and face this bad hombre.
But you don’t need a six-shooter. Just a pint glass, and enough true grit to confront a 14% ABV.
Because this is a Bourbon Barrel-Aged Death Valley Shootout, and it’s ridin’ rough and ready with a bandolier of brown sugar, a saddlebag full of maple syrup, and a malty, dark-chocolate swagger that lesser brews just can’t match.
And after picking up massive aromas of whiskey-caramel and oaky vanilla during a long slumber in George Remus Bourbon Barrels, it’s ready to take on all comers!
Those few craft fiends fortunate enough to run across this bodacious brew from Fifty West still tell the tale. And if anyone doubts a word of it, all they have to do is check the 4.28 Untappd rating. Even the city slickers at the New York International Beer Competition were impressed with this Death Valley Shootout — they gave it a shiny medal just for showing up.
Whaddaya think, Cowpoke? Do you have the guts to go toe-to-toe with this Barrel-Aged behemoth? Well, you better act quick, because high noon don’t last long ‘round these parts.
And when it comes to a Stout like this, there are only two types of crafty beer-slingers: the quick, and the thirsty.
