About This Beer
This hazelnut, coffee, vanilla bean brew is inspired by the classic italian dessert – the affogato! It’s basically a scoop of vanilla ice cream drowned with a shot of espresso, and it’s dang delicious. And, as a part of the brewery’s Dessert Cart Pastry Stout series, every sip is full, fluffy, and luxurious just like an actual affogato — with a bonkers 10.5% ABV!
Tasting Notes
Every dark-as-night sip is as creamy as a cloud of whipped cream. Lush vanilla and candied hazelnut flavors add a touch of sweetness on top of velvety-soft layers of rich espresso.

If you you could make dessert in a pint can, here you go! Amazing black coffee bite, with a perfect blend of hazelnut and sweetness.

Pours thick and creamy. Coffee on the nose. Coffee and vanilla notes mix really well and the hazelnut is noticeable on the finish. Delicious!

Smells of vanilla, coconut, toasted grains, and chocolate. Tastes sweet, milky, and chocolatey. Nice and thick, but goes down smooth.

Espresso aroma with a hint of toasted hazelnut, upfront lactose sweetness, pleasing coffee taste with vanilla notes, thin mouthfeel, roasty finish with alcohol warmth.

Heavy coffee, just enough hazelnut & vanilla. So far everything from Mountains Walking has been very tasty!

The vanilla is nice, but not getting too much hazelnut and there's quite a harsh alcohol bite

the hazelnut is prominent, not tasting much coffee. not bad, I’d prefer some more roast though if coffee was supposed to be relevant.

Like coffee brewed 3 days ago and let to sit in the fridge, getting thick and richly over-bittered, sweetened with some sugar, but also some artificial sweetener. The vanilla and hazelnut are both subtle, so they aren’t battling each other. Great stuff.
