About This Beer
When Paste Mag ran a blind tasting of 102 Imperial Stouts, they included some seriously outstanding brews. But River North’s Mr. Sandman beat out all of them to take 1st place! And thanks to an extended slumber in Colorado whiskey and Bourbon barrels, this’s BA variant is even smoother and more complex!
Tasting Notes
Take a sip, and you’ll discover a rich nuttiness weaving through roasty malts and notes of rich caramel. Brown sugar nuances mingle alongside flavors of fig and baker’s chocolate before fading into opulent hints of whiskey oak and vanilla — all hiding a bold 16.44% ABV!

Another River North baddie. Huge barrel flavor with a nice harsh, bitter stout backbone. No one does it better.

I normally love this brewery but this one was quite thin and nothing special.
