About This Beer
To craft this showstopper, the dark beer masters at River North started with their GABF medal-winning base. Then they loaded it into remarkable barrels from Spirit Hound Distillers that first held Colorado honey before storing Colorado malt whiskey. They aged it for 20 months and liked the results so much that they aged the beer again in fresh ex-honey whiskey barrels for another six months.
Tasting Notes
Treacly honey courses into vanilla oak on every full, velvety sip. Decadent dark chocolate and roasty java tones carry underneath, gorgeously melting into the woody tones and further obscuring the bold 17.3% ABV.
