About This Beer

“Only I didn’t say ‘fudge.’ I said THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word!” -Ralphie from ‘A Christmas Story’

That’s the quote that inspired the Transient crew to create The Mother of All Stouts! Ironically, ‘fudge’ would have been a great word to describe this chocolatey, barrel-aged beer.

Tasting Notes

The brewers aged it in a combination of Henry Mckenna and Blis Maple Syrup bourbon barrels, so it overflows with sweet syrup and whiskey caramel flavors. Then they triple dog dared themselves to add heaps of creamy vanilla, earthy black walnut, and warming cinnamon. A ribbon of lactose makes for a finish that’s softer than the tassels on a leg lamp.
